As the Recruiter/Trainer, Stephanie Pitts provides support to foster and adoptive parents at Arms Wide Adoption Services. She works collaboratively with the recruitment and training to ensure prospective families are prepared to meet the needs of children in foster care.
Why I started with Arms Wide Adoption Services:
I wanted to continue my career being a part of an agency that promotes helping their community. This agency’s mission is to transform the lives of children in need of safe and nurturing families and I want to add to the mission with bringing my skills and background in child welfare in helping children in foster care.
My favorite part about my job:
I enjoy speaking to foster and adoptive families about resources and services in the community that may assist them. I also enjoy supporting our families through the process of fostering children in foster care and providing encouragement.
My least favorite part:
Hearing some of the stories and experiences that many of the children have been through.
More about me:
I love to read self-help and self-care books. I love spending time with my two children and husband. I absolutely love to be involved in the community. My favorite food is Mexican and Italian dishes. I love to explore and try new things on the weekends
