Why I started with Arms Wide Adoption Services:
I had friends who worked for Arms Wide Adoption Services. They had such good things to say about the organization, which led me to look at job opportunities here. Arms Wide Adoption Services’ mission of transforming the lives of kids in need of forever homes really drew me in as well. Plus, the whole atmosphere at Arms Wide Adoption Services is welcoming—all the coworkers are like a family.
My favorite part about my job:
My favorite part is when families finalize an adoption. They’re finally a forever family!
My least favorite part:
It’s heartbreaking when adoption disruption occurs. (An adoption disruption takes place when parents decide they are unable to go through with an adoption after they have been matched with the child.)
More about me:
I’m an adoptive dad to a wonderful 14-year-old. I love to travel and learn about new cultures. My favorite international trip so far was to Australia and New Zealand—the cultures are so distinct and interesting and the vistas are breathtaking. Next, I’m dreaming about visiting South Africa!
