Melissa Daigneault Neeley
Development and Marketing Coordinator
As the Development and Marketing Coordinator, Melissa Neeley tracks donations, creates communication pieces, and brings awareness to the mission of Arms Wide Adoption Services. She is a graduate of the University of Florida, where she discovered her passion for nonprofit work.
Why I started with Arms Wide Adoption Services:
Being adopted myself, I know firsthand the impact having a family can have on an individual. I believe every child deserves a loving one.
My favorite part about my job:
I love writing family spotlight stories, because I love celebrating our families! I also enjoy finding in-kind donations for our kids. They are always in need of summer camp opportunities, clothing, and school supplies. I wouldn’t be a good fundraiser if I didn’t tell you to check out the Wish List for our Angel Room.
My least favorite part:
Knowing there are still 7,000 children in the state of Texas waiting for their forever family makes me sad.
More about me:
Since I could remember, I always wanted to help people. My parents joke about how I wanted to marry a homeless man growing up “so he could have a home.” After high school, my passion only grew. I pursued two degrees in Public Relations and Family, Youth & Community Sciences with minors in Organizational Leadership for Nonprofits and Business Administration. Since college, I have lent my passion and talents to many community organizations, including the Association of Fundraising Professionals – Greater Houston Chapter, The Junior League of Houston, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, and Souper Bowl of Caring.
Ask me about:
Ask me about storytelling, restaurant suggestions, skydiving, weddings, Florida, hot yoga, and my dog, Regal.
