Why I started with Arms Wide Adoption Services:
I have always been drawn to the helping fields and social services and have had the opportunity to have experienced working with children and families in various settings along the way. I saw Arms Wide as another great opportunity for me to be able to use my background of counseling and working with children who have been abused and neglected to help families through the process of adoption.
My favorite part about my job:
My favorite part about my job is getting to know the families and children and hearing their individual stories. I love making connections with people and helping families connect better with each other. Not every child or family is the same, and I enjoy learning about what makes them unique.
My least favorite part:
The paperwork is my least favorite part, but I know that it is a very important part of the process and is necessary to make sure no child or family falls through the cracks.
More about me:
For as long as I could remember, I knew I wanted to work with children. I believe it is vital for a child to have a positive, consistent adult role model in their lives and know that not every child gets that opportunity in their life. I have a passion for making a difference in the lives of children, and I have confidence that my role here at Arms Wide contributes to that. When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and love to be in the outdoors any chance I can get.
