Post Adoption/Post Permanency Supervisor
I have 8 years of Child Welfare experience including work in emergency placement facilities, recruitment and training, Trauma Informed Care, Foster Care, and Adoption. I am also a former foster parent. Furthermore, I have experience working with children and families in various volunteer capacities and education. I am a Graduate of Dallas Baptist University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology.
Why I started with Arms Wide Adoption Services:
I chose to come to Arms Wide because I believe in the mission of transforming the lives of children in need of safe and nurturing permanent families and the vision for every child to be loved within a home where families are supported. I could tell right away that the depth and breadth of experience my colleagues have has made this a strong organization. The dedication and excellence at Arms Wide is something that I wanted to be a part of.
My favorite part about my job:
I love being able to work with families to find out of the box solutions to the complex issues that often come with adopting or being a permanent caregiver to children with traumatic backgrounds.
My least favorite part:
My least favorite part of my job is seeing negative outcomes for families despite our best efforts.
More about me:
I truly love and enjoy the work that I am blessed to be able to do! I get to show up to my dream job every day helping children and families thrive. When I am not working, I am typically spending time with my loving family, traveling, or trying new foods, especially spicy ones. You can catch me with a bottle of Tabasco in my purse from time to time. I also enjoy true crime podcasts and 90’s Alternative Rock music.
Ask me about:
Ask me anything about perfume/fragrances. I am an avid collector and consider it my favorite hobby!
