As a Billing and Contract Management Specialist, Kat assists in managing Arms Wide Adoption Services government contracts for our Foster Care, Adoption, Post Adoption, and Post Permanency Programs.

Why I started with Arms Wide Adoption Services:

I was informed of the job opening by another long-time Arms Wide Adoption Services employee. I was told it was an accounting position, and since I have been in accounting most of my working years, I decided to inquire about the position. Learning of the job responsibilities, I knew this was the place for me. When I received the call, I was so excited about starting this chapter. I began to think about how I could contribute and what I could do to make a difference. An foster care adoption agency is not a place you seek out because you want a job. Working for an adoption agency is a passionate, a labor of love. The work performed here means so much to so many people. I am truly grateful for this opportunity, and I look forward to a long relationship with this organization.

My favorite part about my job:

The friendly staff, it’s like I have known everyone forever.

My least favorite part:

I’m still new to the team, so I don’t know yet!

More about me:

I possess a great sense of humor; I love to laugh and have fun. I like to cook and eat. I have a wonderful relationship with my two kids, I have a three-year-old grandson, and a grand-dog, she’s a teacup poodle she weighs five pounds and her name is Barbie.
