As the It Takes a Village Recruiter and Home Developer, Kianna works to implement awareness through engagement and recruitment to ensure a continuous flow of families prepared to foster and adopt. She has a bachelor’s degree in African American Studies from the University of Houston and a master’s degree from Prairie View A & M University.
Why I started with Arms Wide Adoption Services:
I started working with Arms Wide because they strive to disrupt the outcomes and barriers of children by addressing disproportionality within communities.
My favorite part about my job:
I enjoy educating the public about the needs of foster and adoptive families.
My least favorite part:
It’s sad to see the overrepresentation of Black children in the foster care system.
