Therapy services are offered to all families eligible for post adoption and post permanency services as funding from the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) is available. Arms Wide’s experienced staff work tirelessly to locate community resources to support our children and families.
Therapy is offered to assist with adoption issues that are present as a result of the adopted child’s history of abuse, neglect, and/or abandonment and their moves in foster care.
In order for the Post Adoption and Post Permanency Programs to be able to pay for therapeutic services, all treatment must relate to the adopted child’s early history of abuse/neglect.
Therapeutic services are available to all family members impacted by the adoption as funding from DFPS is available. Services offered are: individual, family, group, and marital therapy. Under therapeutic services, Arms Wide’s Post Adoption and Post Permanency Programs can also assist with psychological and neuro-psychological testing not covered by insurance or the school system.
