Register To Attend An Information Meeting

Wondering Where To Start?

Attending an Information Meeting is the first required step in the process towards becoming an Arms Wide foster or adoptive parent. During the Information Meeting, an Arms Wide Coordinator will walk you through the process of fostering or adopting a child or children in foster care. You will also have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about fostering or adopting a child or children in need, in addition to meeting other families who are interested in becoming foster or adoptive parents.

Note: We are monitoring the situation related to COVID-19. While we navigate these uncertain times, we are still committed to supporting families through the process of foster care and adoption.  At this time, all Information Meetings are being conducted virtually, and we will update formats as events unfold.  It is important that you register for the virtual meeting for the office that serves your region/county.  Please double-check the region/location of your virtual meeting before completing your registration.

  • Our Greater Houston office serves the following counties:  Harris, Austin, Brazoria, Chambers, Colorado, Fort Bend, Galveston, Liberty, Matagorda, Montgomery, Walker, Waller, and Wharton.  If you have questions, please contact our Trainer and Recruiter Carrie Shephard at cshepard@armswide.org.
  • Our South Texas/Corpus Christi office serves the following counties:  Aransas, Bee, Brooks, Cameron, Duval, Hidalgo, Jim Hogg, Jim Wells, Kenedy, Kleberg, Live Oak, McMullen, Nueces, Refugio, San Patricio, Starr, Webb, Willacy, and Zapata.  If you have questions, please contact our Trainer and Recruiter Nancy Torres at ntorres@armswide.org.

Please call us to hear more about our Information Meetings at other locations in the Greater Houston ( 713-681-6991) or South Texas ( 361-850-8200) areas. We look forward to seeing you at an upcoming Information Meeting!
