Black children are involved in the child welfare system a rate double that of the general child population. Racial disproportionality and racial inequity permeate the child welfare system leading to an over representation of Black children. This community forum is an opportunity to hear from experts in the field about what is happening to Black children in foster care in our community. This event is open to social workers, clergy, educators, medical professionals, child welfare professionals, community advocates – anyone who has an interest in disrupting the unjust outcomes for Black children in foster care.
