The Strongest Bonds are Made for Life

At Arms Wide Adoption Services, we begin with the child in mind. Each child is unique so the adoption plan and journey to finding the right adoptive family can be unpredictable. We expertly guide Houston and South Texas families through the process, connecting each child with the right adoptive parents and supporting them along the way and beyond. No matter where the path leads, Arms Wide Adoption Services honors the story of every family and celebrates with a family fulfilled.

It Takes a Village Information Meeting (Virtual/Zoom)

Do you have a passion for ensuring all children—especially our children who are Black–receive the love, safety, and permanency that they deserve?

Do you feel it is unjust that children who are Black are disproportionately impacted by the Texas foster care system—entering care more often, staying longer, and being less likely to be cared for by a family that understands and supports their identity and connection to community?

Are you interested in learning how you can help address this issue by stepping up to foster or adopt the children who need you the most?

If so, we invite you to join our Village–a community committed to positively changing outcomes for Black children in foster care.

Join us for our first It Takes a Village Information Meeting, where we will walk families through the process of fostering or adopting a child or children in foster care and answer all of your questions about the needs of our children for safe and nurturing families.

If you have any questions, please contact Ashley Sims at asims@armswide.org.

This meeting is primarily for families in the Greater Houston area who are interested in our It Take a Village initiative.  However, any family interested in fostering or adopting children in care may attend, including all families who would be served by our Greater Houston and South Texas (Corpus Christi) offices (Region 6 and Region 11).   Our Greater Houston office serves families in the following counties: Austin, Brazoria, Chambers, Colorado, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris, Liberty, Matagorda, Montgomery, Walker, Waller, and Wharton.  The South Texas office is located in Corpus Christi. The Corpus Christi office serves families in the following counties: Aransas, Bee, Brooks, Cameron, Duval, Hidalgo, Jim Hogg, Jim Wells, Kennedy, Kleberg, Live Oak, McMullen, Nueces, Refugio, San Patricio, Starr, Webb, Willacy, and Zapata.
